Doc says exercise is good for my lungs as long as I have my rescue inhaler with me. So I'm kick starting ketosis eating pretty much nothing but scrambled eggs and bouillon cubes in water. And you creeps are trying to murder me with all this talk of delicious foods.
Please inspire me. I've signed up for weight watchers through Kaiser but the next session didn't start until just after the new year. Thank gawd!
I don't know much about weight watchers. I know that if you build yourself up to it you can run for 5-6 hours on ketosis. I mean...I'm sure some people can do it anyways but I find that I run into a brick wall at about 2 and a half hours when my body is using carbs for energy instead of fat. That being said, I haven't run at all since I ruptured a disc in my back and now with this copd I don't know if I'll ever be able to do a 50k again but I'm sure going to try. I really miss running. There's nothing better for stress relief imo.
Not sure if that was inspiring or not lol. Well...for inspiration if you can get yourself in ketosis and stay there you should be able to watch your extra weight melt right off. There are conflicting opinions about it medically but I've never had any problems with it. When your body burns fat for energy instead of carbs you get more energy. But the first couple weeks as your body transitions can be a bit tiring.

I recommend a bicycle. It is much easier on the spine and the instep.
So I've heard, but nothing beats running. It's a mental thing for me. You can't hear the sound of your shoes hitting pavement on a bicycle. I just want to lose myself in a nice long run. Let everything else disappear. Nothing exists but that sound...don't get me started I'll go on for pages.

I agree with this.
I used to run a lot - even did a couple of half marathons. I've recently started running again - have been anyway, on a treadmill, but there's nothing like getting some scenery while running.

This time of year we're busy and I'll prolly work 30 days straight like last year.
At least I'm on my own with my tablet and the forum.
I think somehow you work for yourself in some way, no? Still thirty in a row is nothing to sneeze at. Yep, my industry, security doors and flyscreens is very seasonal. we need to make our money during summer to survive the winter. We usually go a week or 2 without pay in winter as well. It's all bills, bills, bills.

Imma go take some Ibuprofen, warm up some choco-chip coffee cafe and watch a funny movie or something... CM, how the fuck does a smart girl get caught up in bullshit like that I'll never know.
It can't be much different than arguing with religious people! IE, you just don't do it.

I miss running. Just walking my dog round the block knackers me out now.
She's so naughty! She doesn't listen to daddy when we are out. And she's a right scavenger. But I love her

Oh, our new apartment has hills with lots of "runnable" forest right next to it - heavenly! I go almost every day now.

I wish you guys could have seen me when I was able to run. I used to dart around, playing basketball for hours at a time.
I was shit at it, but I was fast which partially made up for it. I was still running while others were lagging.
I can still roller skate a bit. I really need to go again. I think we might be going somewhere in the near future with a rink, there's a lack of them round here.

Ouch.
I am hearing rumblings of lisfranc. Which would mean that's it for this season.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
