Really sad. Just feeling totally numb to any feelings of optimism at all. I wrote a rant that I will repost onto here:

Everyone hates a sad person. Everyone’s their own ship trying to stay afloat. People can’t be bothered with your sad thoughts, because they find listening to other’s sad thoughts draining. It weighs them down and puts their own ship in jeopardy. All the sad, lonely people of the world are left to die. That’s probably what most people would want is for the sad lonely people to die. They may not say it to their face and they may act like they want what’s best for everyone. Deep down, no one really wants to go and help a sad person. No one wants the burden of a sad person on them.

I noticed it with myself. Every time I talk with a person who has low self esteem, I notice that I just dislike talking to them. It is draining to me, then I realize that that is how I must seem to other people. an emotional burden. It’s strange though because I don’t know who actually thinks about me and who doesn’t really give me a second thought. I always feel as though every single person who has ever talked to me probably feels some sense of discomfort from talking to me. I always dread meeting people who I’ve met before, or getting to know people and exposing what kind of person I really am.

That’s something you have to be careful about. You have to make it seem like there’s nothing really wrong with you, or else you’ve been exposed and you’ve done damage. You’ve exposed the “fake” you, because everyone thinks the real you is the you when you’re happy, when you’re not upset.

Listening to the album deathconsciousness by have a nice life. It's an album that is so immersive and sad, it's like diving into the ocean. It's definitely the best album that I've ever heard. I've listened to it over 60 times, I keep track of how many times I've played an album with a special software called last.fm scrobbler.

Just arrived back this afternoon from a funeral. A friend of my family - her daughter who is in her 20's that I was friends with, died this week. Heartbreaking. Hug those you love...often.

I'd always assumed she was based on Anna Wintour because of the hair. But yeah I really see the resemblance now you point it out haha

Got home a little bit ago from orientation for a new (temporary, seasonal) mall job. I think the people who work there are great, but I know I'm going to hate the job. I keep telling myself: it's temporary, Becca, and it's a paycheck.

Ugh. Trying to get the truth out of my kids about exactly what the fuck happened to all the liquor in the house. Two fifths of whiskey, two fifths of tequila and two pints of schnapps. One of the whiskey and one of the tequila hadn't even been opened yet.

Looking like I need to get a locking liquor cabinet.

Not (yet) convinced it was the kids. It could just have easily been their friends. Still has me quite pissed off!
