What's everyone up to right now?

I guess the thing I don't understand about moderators is, how come there has to be people who are superiors to me on a website? I don't get what makes them any better than me, it's so annoying. Like yeah I get there are variables like whether or not a person is a troll or something, so there has to be some measure to make sure there's no infestation. It just makes me so mad that I have to be someone's subordinate who's literally no better than me.

I've been in chat rooms where there's no moderators, or websites where the moderators just don't give a fuck. That's usually the kind of place that I spend my time, because I honestly hate the idea of someone who got some bullshit title telling me what to do. It often makes me feel fucking enraged, and rightfully so. I mean I am not enraged right now over anything, I am just talking about moderators in general. I am actually pretty chill right now. I just spent 155 dollars at whole foods for my weekly groceries, I got a bunch of nice stuff and I'm sipping on a nice cup of coffee.

(bold mine)

Go. there. now.

Seriously, you willful little shit. The only reason you're still here is because our staff is extremely fair. Instead of complaining about them, you should be thanking them, you horrible, spoiled fuck. Go find another forum to harass. No one wants you here.
Um, I beg your pardon. That's extremely rude.

I'm also not complaining about the staff here. I said that the staff here is pretty decent.

Seriously? We're doing this again? Anyone remember what I said about not polluting innocent threads with this tired shit? Do you want me to really pull rank and shut this charade down?

This site is managed by Moderators and Administrators. That's just the reality of it. Get used to it. We're not superior to any other member, we just have access to deeper levels of the forum than anyone else. We all started out as regular members before being chosen for this, quite frankly thankless, job, and can resign at any time both to return to being a grassroots member and make way for another such to take our place. We are not some privileged élite, and in all honesty fuck you for saying so. I know you'll be just as offended by that as I and my colleagues are by your insinuations.

This drama ends here. Thank you for your cooperation.

Deleted because I didn't see Stimbo's post while typing this. .

I'd like to know what sort of privileges or benefits to which our friend imagines we as Staff are entitled that he as a regular member is not, except I don't want to prolong the drama. We get to mop up after people forget how to post correctly, spend much of our online time purging spammers, deal with all the dramas and meltdowns, fill in the paperwork after each and every report that flies in our faces, all while not being able to put those we might prefer not to deal with on our ignore lists. Not a single one of us gets paid for our time, which is one reason we don't see the funny side of being taken for granted to the - thankfully rare - point that we become targets of resentment just for doing the job for which we were chosen. Please bear all this in mind the next time you think we're not being fair.

And now this is the final line. Capisce?

Hey, I'm sorry stimbo. I mean no disrespect to the staff here. I don't understand why I can't just speak in hypotheticals. I was honestly just trying to speak only in critical analysis type terms. I wasn't pointing this at any of you, I actually like you stimbo. Please don't take it that way, it hurts my feelings.

Watching Erin Brockovitch. Awesome movie. I could watch it 500 times and still not tire of it.

That reminds me, like 20 pages ago, I said "why can't we just look at things objectively" to someone who was saying the amazing atheist was full of shit. I think a better word to use could have been "critically analyse". That does seem to make more sense.

Of course you do; it's only natural. Angel
