Listening to a high and delirious Losty laughing hysterically and talking about duck billed crocodiles.

I wouldn't have her any other way.

Oh lord. I really have to start sleeping I'm starting to lose my mind. That duck billed crocodile was hilarious even though it was actually a clothes peg. Lol.

RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Learning for my drivers test, which is Wednesday.
My instructors are giving me different version of how to throw my indicator.
1.Full observation (right blind spot, right mirror, rear view mirror, left mirror and left blind spot) and then indicator
2.Rear view mirror and then check blind spot you are going to turn to followed by indicator if it is clear.
3.Rear view mirror, mirror you are going to turn to and then blind spot the direction you are going to turn to and then indicator when it's clear.

So far, num2 seems the most correct (this is for the K53)

I'd go with indicator first, then check if the path is clear.
I want to go that way, I tell everyone about it.... then I check if it's at all possible... maybe some of them decide it's a good time to overtake me and speed up, giving me a larger gap to get in behind them. Or... they slow down and, by the time I check in the mirror, I'm good to go! Wink
Totally circumstantial, of course!

I have to go with procedure. For example if i want o change to the lane on the right i have to do the following.
1.Check rear view mirror
2.Check blind spot on the right
3.Turn on indicator to the right
4.Check blind spot on the right again
5.Move into lane
6.Cancel indicator.

If you turn on your indicator before checking your blind spot and a car is coming up fast, he might slam on the brakes and cause an accident (at least that is what i've been told)

BWAHAHAHA! his fault, not yours! The blinker doesn't give you any special right to get in that lane... it just lets others know of your intention.
If you get in the lane and bump into someone, then it's your fault.

What's with all the blind spot checks? things are moving, you just need to map out where everyone is and how they're moving... cars don't miraculously appear in your blind spot. They are in your rear view mirror, before they get to your blind spot. If you're changing lanes, you have to be aware of how cars are flowing, beforehand... you don't go: "time to change lane, now I have to see how cars are moving!"
Tap into your road-spidey-sense!

My instructor kept telling me I had to be aware of all cars around me at all times - keep checking all mirrors, always, but focus mainly on where you're going, of course.
That's how I spot cool motorbikes on their way and let my kids know they're coming... at twice our speed, when we're already at the maximum legal speed.... Tongue

I know but that's procedure, even if i know where all the cars are i still need to do it.
