Keeping an eye on a cat with an injured leg currently sleeping on top of my pantry.
Not one of mine but a stray I feed and look after.
One of mine is sleeping on my chest as I write tjis. Not awkward at all...

I think I'm discovering insomnia for the first time in my life. I am frustratingly getting right to the edge of sleep, then suddenly being wide awake.

I personally think that anxiety is one of the primary causes of insomnia.
