This is because they have much bigger problems to worry about.

I know, i'm not trying to complain or say i'm any worse off than anyone else, i just don't enjoy getting the shit beaten out of me, like today.

I finally finished with the hoops I've had to jump through (not my preferred hooping method) for my new job. After four interviews and two sessions with my group, they finally hired me and told me I had to get: state and federal fingerprints and background check, full physical, drug test, and the humdinger: a commercial driver's license with a passenger endorsement, neither of which I'll ever use and after I failed three of the four written tests I had to take (three effing days at the effing DMV), I finally passed them all today. I get a three-day weekend, then start training at the new job on Monday.

It's been almost eight years since I've gone to a J-O-B. I've owned my own business, volunteered a ton, worked very part time from home, traveled, and had a crap-ton of fun... well... all except for the last, very shitty, year. I'm so excited and so nervous! I hope I can do this!

Now that I'm done with all of it, I'm relaxing. I wish I had ten bucks for a sixer. Luckily, my mom sent my paycheck early this month (yes, I work for her), so I'll have enough cash to take the bus to work on Monday.

Yay! So glad to hear you're employed. And, it sounds like it's not one of those evil retail positions. Congrats, Rexy!

I had alot of fun with it when I was done sweating bullets, that's for sure.  Tried every civil way to resolve the problem before I turned into the stereotypical offended american.  They had me terrified, first, when a couple of unmarked cars came out here -here being the middle of nowhere- for a surprise inspection of my home.  Then when I thought my daughter might have gotten some meds out of my cabinet without me knowing it.  Then when they told me it was amphetamine...which it turned out not to be.

It got really weird when we found ourselves treated like drug dealers, after it had already become apparent that they were totally off-base, at a school we support, have two children in, and two more registered to go to...and when I learned that both of my daughters..1st and 2nd graders no less, in the school office, had been interviewed by law enforcement without my knowledge or any legal representation present, about me and my wife.  

To top it all off, when their little ruckus imploded even more quickly than they'd manufactured it, they stopped responding to our phone calls and wouldn't see me no matter how long I sat in their offices.  They got the "evidence" out of their hands ASAP so that even figuring out what it was or whether or not it came from our house came down to me doing their fucking jobs for them by dumping the contents of my cabinet on a social workers desk and demanding that I be informed as to what my daughter had.,....and where and when she had gotten it.  All information previously withheld from me.  

Now, all parties knowing all of this, they are completely uninterested in any situation which involves the question "how did my daughter get this at your school, or on your bus?" despite offering half assed -still sneering like I'm a pill pusher- apologies.  

They expected me to defend myself, rather than go at their throats, against seemingly endless "anonymous reports of" this or that....and the way I figured out the names of anyone involved...which they, to my face, told me they "didn't feel they were required to divulge" was just to ask my daughters who had spoken to them.  Did they think my children wouldn't tell me?  How did they expect to get away with any of this shit, honestly?  

So the uptake of this is that not only are they off the bus, they're out of the school as soon as we can get them registered elsewhere and my daughters have been told that in any circumstance in which they feel uncomfortable or are being questioned by adults the only words that are to leave their lips are "I want to see my daddy"...which just -has- to be great for their confidence in other adults and specifically educators.  

Well fucking done, cunts. Really looking out for the kids on that one.

I'm sorry you had to go through that.
If you were living where I was you could clock em and keep them in your basement, for experimental purposes,of course, nothing illegal.
