Have you read Fahrenheit 451?
No. What's that about?

A Terran Firebat named Guy Montag.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie

About a dystopic future in which books are forbidden and all houses are absolutely fireproof, so the job of fireman has become to incinerate (the contents of) houses in which books have been found by just spraying them with kerosine. It's a classic by Ray Bradbury.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

I was just alluding to the idea of houses that can be conveniently cleared out simply by setting everything on fire

That would be swell. Why can't I live in such a building?

So.. I just had to get a new laptop.
Old one started acting up while in windows... rebooted.... didn't boot.
Not with HDD, not with SSD, not with win7 bootable usb stick, not with linux on external HDD.... nothing... gets stuck at the first stages of boot.
I guess it didn't like having two external HDDs connected at the same time...
Oh well, it was old.ish:
Core2 Duo P8700
4GB RAM
geForce 102m
New kid on the block is an ASUS x555LJ
i7 5500U
8GBRAM
geForce 920m
Should be slightly better than the old geezer.
Now to get things back to how they were.... stuff from old HDD to new HDD, without a SATA caddy... sucks.
