In other news, I just came to a terrible conclusion. That Panther tank i'm researching in warthunder, of which i'm now 9k XP from unlocking? It's gun mantlet is a shot trap. Meaning that I've just wasted so much time on a tank that isn't really worth it D: Excuse me whilst i go cry in a corner somewhere  xD

Ah!
Need to play more defensively...
A Panther is not meant to be sitting in wait for a well aimed shot by the opponent. Keep it as mobile as you can.
Angle your armor.
And shake that booty!

Also, i think if i angle the gun downwards after firing, it eliminates the problem, so it's not as bad as i first thought!

I admit I only know WoT mechanics.... but that sounds weird, to me.
How would aiming the gun downwards eliminate a weak spot on the turret?

The mantlet is the problem The moving bit of the turret that helps move the gun about. The mantlet is curved (Which is rare), which causes rounds to richochet off easily. The top is no problem, but the bottom richochets it straight into the crew compartment, killing my driver and radio operator/hull gunner, as a minimum, immobilizing me totally, and possibly into ammo, causing an explosion. Either way it sucks. However, if i aim the gun down, the only place a round can richochet is off the top, and away from the tank
The problem is a shot trap mantlet, not the whole turret
