It's been pointed out I don't smile much in videos, which is dumb as a smiley person
So here's me smiling! But I have pinkeye. It looks weird, sorry about that. It doesn't hurt.

Also, the dropping of vowels and syllables is confusing.
Obrigado pela sua ajuda - They guy pronounces "obrigad pl sua ajuda"
But seriously, good effort!
The dropping of certain letters in the spoken language comes down to how each person gets used to saying things... Portuguese teachers do try to drill on to us that we need to verbalize every single letter... but local accents get in the way of that (btw, the guys in that website have a northern accent)
We know the letters are there, but some abbreviations do occur...
Take my username as an extreme example...
The full expression it represents is "vai para o caraças"
The verb "vai" (go) can be dropped, because this expression is unique and everyone knows that's the verb.
"para o" (to *the*) quickly becomes "pó".... even though 'o' sounds more like 'w' than 'oh'...
The rest just follows and is the main expletive... this one doesn't get dropped

Having a mug of coffee after finishing painting a load of garden furniture. Took the whole last four days, hence the dizziness from huffing paint.

My username is made up of a traditional shortened version of my first name, Alexander, which was chosen by my parents because of no reason in particular. I almost got christened "Christian", and I'm quite grateful that they changed their mind, although I don't mind the name Christian with other people. The origin of the letter K remains ambiguous, for it is both my middle initial derived from my Father's, my paternal grandfather's, my maternal Uncle's and my grandfathers' cousin whom I never met's first name "Karl", as well as the initial letter of my last name, which is derived from a swiss name bearing the same initial letter. I put the initial rather than the full name in order to protect my privacy in forums which are liable to contain subjects from Portugal, New Zealand and similar countries.

I didn't even notice it until Emma pointed it out yesterday. Well I wouldn't, I suppose. I don't spend much time looking at myself in the mirror.
