I think I'm going to. The other half went in to work two hours ago and the kids will be up in a few hours. If anything, I can at least get a nap in.

I managed to get three hours, which is an improvement over most nights where pain keeps me up.

Does your insurance require a referral for you to see a specialist? Perhaps you need to see a Pain Management physician for your symptoms to be seriously addressed, if you're not seeing one currently. If you are, you might want to think about switching.

I was just there last night. 

And I'm not beyond saying that I've got it 'coming out at both ends' in order to avoid interacting with my family when I don't feel up to it. If they really need me, of course I'll be there. Otherwise, I'm going to relax and enjoy mutated creatures destroying some cities.

I'm pretty sure I've missed a Sharknado or two, and I need be prepared in case that happens.

Can your doctor not up your meds to deal with the pain?

My doctor hasn't prescribed any meds for pain. I don't know if it's because I admitted to formally having a cocaine problem, if it's that I'm a legal cannabis user, fear of being pipped by the DEA for over prescription, or something else.

I brought back tramadol from Mexico during my annual trip. I'm already taking the maximum dose (bit not the max daily dose). As it stands now, I'll run out probably six months before I go back.

This is not the first doctor I have had who would not prescribe effective pain medication. I'm at the point where I am going to try and get into a pain management clinic.
