Speaking of fires and such... there's a local fire department here that posts all of the fire department calls for the county I live in. Boring if you don't live here, but if you do and there's a ton of sirens blaring down the road and you wanna know why.... look here:

http://www.redlionfire.org/filter.html

And then we have the York County 911 Live incident log which sometimes posts the same thing, but they may or may not include police activity as well:

https://www.ycdes.org/webcad/

They have an interactive map showing where any current/active calls are.

About time to get dressed for the wedding we're attending. Just got back from a short walk around the Garden District of New Orleans where we're saying. Here are a couple snaps I just took.

starting to sew the pattern pieces for Cathy's baby shower gift.  Holy mother fuckin' FSM, y'all, these things are going to be adorable.

Since Cathy has left the forums, maybe I could post process photos here since I can't post them on facebook..... Devil

Wow, that's hard core. How different is that from making corn tortillas?

Me, I just finished mowing the lawn and trimming half the hedge with my son - I have a 8-9 foot broadleaf evergreen hedge that badly needed a shave. It's too much work to do in one afternoon..

Got myself a cordless hedge trimmer for Father's Day along with some other home project stuff and had a blast. Power tools, huzzah!

Got the kid to do most of the cleanup - I don't even think he knows tomorrow is father's day and he still didn't bitch. Win!

Since I basically had to start over with tools and such, I made a conscious decision to get no fossil fuel powered yard tools. I feel pretty good about that choice.
