I got it following a virus. It seemed like a normal one, I've had them before, which made me woozy. But then I never recovered. They call it Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome, I think this kind of thing accounts for over half the cases.
Like you say, there's no cure. I'm not "ill enough" to qualify for anything more than a small amount of benefits, so I still have to do way more for myself than I should be and can't get the rest I really need. Even with Emma being the angel that she is and helping me as much as she can.
Really, I need an extended holiday for years where I don't have to do anything. That would be the nearest thing to treatment/cure, but sadly it's impossible.

Outside of being a mom, I haven't actually held a paying job since 2004 and I'm still not well rested.
On another note....
Dill is currently pawing at his food dish, taking out one piece at a time, batting it across the floor until he gets to the edge of the carpet and then he eats the food. While entertaining, he's also batshit crazy.

And on that note... it's now 5:32am. I'm going to try going back to bed for a few hours.

I hope you get some rest
I've been out of work for 10 years because of it. I'm hoping to be able to do a few hours bookkeeping work from home, once I finish my training.
Every day I don't kill myself is something of a victory.

Yeah, it's now 6:04 and I'm STILL sitting here. The following is part of what's keeping me awake:
My instructor at school told me a tragic story of something that happened to a dear friend of hers over the holiday weekend. On Friday, her friend's husband mowed the lawn and after finishing up, he told her he wasn't feeling well. He said he splashed some cold water on his face but he felt a little bit nauseous so he told her he was going to go lay down. The friend is two weeks past her pregnancy due date and has a five year old, so she told him she would take their daughter outside to play so he could get some rest. When they came back in, the friend found her husband had passed away. Apparently he had a major heart attack. His wife and daughter came inside to that. His wife is scheduled to be induced today.
I will be putting together some meals for my instructor's friend and her little girl today and bringing it all to school this afternoon. My instructor will be taking them to her on Thursday or Friday. I wish there was more I could do for them because they had no life insurance and now the family has no idea of how they are going to pay for the funeral. My instructor just saw them last weekend at her bay house and is in shock. The man was 51 years old and so excited about becoming a dad again, this time to a son. I am beyond words for this family. The funeral is on Saturday.
