I bet California pride parades are fucking amazing.
I went to this thing they had the nerve to call a pride "event" in Stoke-on-Trent. It was literally just a load of people coming to walk around a car park waving some rainbow flags, I kid you not.

I prepared upwards of 200 ears of corn for a cookout tomorrow.
Picked it.
Shucked it.
Tipped and butted it.
Cleaned it.
And threw them in the fridge. 2 fridges, actually.
Hope every one appreciates all the work that was. I'll be lucky if I can walk and talk tomorrow.

I went to LA Pride when I was in San Diego. One of my best friends told me I would never believe some of the things I'd see. It was pretty crazy. A LOT of queen peen. The happiness is pretty infectious.
There's actually some controversy right now over whether allies should even go to pride events. I think it's silly, but it's not my party.

Been having a love/hate relationship with this forum lately. I keep disappearing for days on end because I need to recharge myself from the insanity here. Yet I return because there is no other forum to which I post.
I have tried finding something else to do with my time, but in the end when boredom sinks in I return here.

Drinking, everyone else is sleeping. My wife looks peaceful and exposed. WTF am I doing here?

I was in Minneapolis during their Pride and it was very well covered by media. Unfortunately I had problems making my way out of Bloomington for anything. So I was stuck at my conference. But it made me happy feeling like they have a pretty big celebration (maybe Jorm can chime in?).
San Diego's parade is pretty nuts. I live one street parallel to it. I think I heard it attracts 100,000. Pretty good for a city that, besides Hillcrest (my 'hood), seems mum at best on LGBT issues. Never tried la or SF (a city that is known for its LGBT population). I'd like to. I like LA, and SF Pride just sounds like a bucket list thing to do.

My Dad said the same about Amsterdam Pride (which he fell across by accident, I assure you, he'd never willingly attend Pride haha)
Ugh fuck that, yes allies can attend Pride. It's supposed to be inclusive and fun and it happens in public anyway, they can't bar people from certain city blocks for the day.
The only thing that slightly bothers me is when gay bars get completely overrun by straight people, but even then I'd never say it's a problem for straight people to come at all. Pride though is free reign.
I'm surprised to hear that about San Diego though, I thought they were liberal as fuck surfer hippie types there

The only thing that ever really bothered me was when a woman thought it was okay to get drunk and bare her breasts in a gay bar. I saw many a women thrown out because of that.

Haha that would give me life actually, it's funny
I saw this one girl who ended up sitting on someone's face (fully clothed, not doing oral) in a gay bar once. I don't know how, or why.
