I must be a heartless, evil bitch because I would have thrown the sucker away immediately after I took it from him. Not complying after three requests means no rewards in my book. If he cries about it then so be it, he had the opportunity to clean up his act and he didn't, that means no suckers.
It's probably a good thing I don't want kids... :p
