Where's Ben and his tasty biscuits? They need to see this.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

I've not been very focused today. I only got three and a half hours reading done, managing only 70 pages. Fortunately, the pace of the narrative has picked up immensely in the last 20 pages. It's very well written, throughout. Still, I need to pick up the pace. That's 20 pages per hour, 665 pages to go, so 35 hours to read it, 6 days to do it, I need to read 6-8 hours each day to finish on time. I wish I were a faster reader. Oh well, nothing to do but get to it.

Despite having been rather quiet of late, I posted a lot on the forum today, and that took up a lot of time. Odd, after being so quiet, I'm suddenly so noisy.

Just sitting around feeling sad. Today is the 10th anniversary of my Mum's death; and it still fucking hurts as much as ever, if not more, because it's been a whole decade and the realisation hit me in the face pretty hard.

Sorry to hear that. I hope your day is good, in spite of it all.

Thank you. My sister and I usually go out for dinner but she just came home from work and went straight back out again. So I guess we're not doing anything this year. I'll probably end up comfort eating later. Pizza and a whole carton of Ben & Jerrys? Yes please!

As for what I'm up to now, I'm feeling a bit amused by the fact that I thought I'd been home alone all day, until my sister came home to get her ex who's been staying since Sunday. I assumed he'd left with her when she went to work this morning. I hadn't seen or heard from him all day (It's nearly 5pm now). But nope, apparently he's been in her room the whole day without leaving the room to get something to eat or drink or even to use the toilet. Very very weird. My sister came in and whispered to me that he "Didn't know how to leave!" and that's why she came back to get him. WTF?
I think he's scared of me. Not without reason. When he and my sister split up (it was a mutual thing, it just wasn't working and they decided to stay friends and stuff) he started treating her so fucking badly and... well... Nobody upsets my little sis and gets away with it. But I've been nice to him since he's been here. I even bought milk and tea bags so he could have a cuppa in the mornings he was here, and bought some chicken pieces for when we all had fajitas last night. I haven't been scary at all!
