On the toilet taking a shit.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Job security and in academia? Opportunities for research?
I'd go for it, my friend.

I hope I get the job because it's reliable work in my wheelhouse, but I'm not sure how optimistic I should be given that the guy doesn't really seem super appreciative of solidly worked erotica.
I already dislike him. I wish I was rich I could pay you to never let anyone ask you to water down your amazing skills
I actually did get the job, but I honestly don't know if I'll take it. The more I interact with the guy, the more the whole enterprise gives of a distinctly... factory farming vibe. Daily wordcount targets? Writing a full book in less than 2-3 weeks? Four thousand word daily minimums?
Why do I get the feeling I'd just become a cog in this guy's ghostwriting machine if I took him on as a client? I'd basically have to abandon all my other work to even get close to his daily minimums, or start churning out unpolished shit just to meet them. Neither seem like good results to me.

Where in the hell was I when this came out? I've never seen or heard of this Jurassic Park.
Dinosaurs just running around gobbling up people left and right. In a major city!
Can't tell which one yet.
I must be nuts.
