Game of Thrones, The Wire, The Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Band of Brothers, Rome, Real Time with Bill Maher, Deadwood, True Detective, True Blood!!!

Cool.. I haven't seen any of those... and they're all available on demand are they? Which ones would you recommend? and which ones are most like Oz? Some association in the back of my mind is telling me that the wire might be but I'm not sure.

You... Haven't... Seen... Game of Thrones.

My brain can't process this information.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I can see that cos that's what I was asking Gemini about a couple of pages ago Big Grin

It was only relatively recently (in a Mafia game I think) that I realised it wasn't quite what I thought it was. I thought it would just be something like a Hollywood modern 'epic'... you know... pick a period and there's a film for it... Troy... Alexander etc. All basically the same. So I admit I was a bit confused why GoT was the talk of the town. But then seeing a clip or two realised it was a lot more involved (and less stereotypical) than one of those films. But I can't remember how now. Remind me Begging Wink

Don't forget Steely that I basically live in a time warp Big Grin I'm only just catching up with the concept of streaming, and I'm like that with everything. I was several years late in switching from VHS to DVD too. So whatever you think is hot tech now will be hot tech to me in a few years Wink

Listening to my weekly Spotify playlist (The The right now).

Been admitted to the hospital after I lost my balance at home and fell. Been dizzy all day. They're going to keep me over night at least. I don't think it's serious but what do I know?

You need to press the pause button on your life and then get you some GoT. It's quite possibly the greatest TV show ever created (certainly my personal favorite). You'll understand why...

I agree about that. GoT is great but these are two very different shows anyway.
