What's everyone up to right now?

Okay so that's my watchlist sorted for the foreseeable... The Wire, GoT, The Sopranos, and Sons of Anarchy... thanks guys Just hope I can get all that lot on my Roku... which I'm about to find out (if there's an HBO app)... because it would be much less appealing to have to watch it on my computer on a website. Still doable but not as pleasant or convenient as watching them on the TV.

Yeah, I noticed that you've mentioned it a few times ... and was considering watching it based on that. But I'd generally been putting it off, like GoT, again because of preconceptions of what it would be like. In this case because I assume it's a comedy about the Mafia, and generally I like things to be one genre or the other but not both, so when choosing a film to watch etc the last ones I usually go for are 'action comedies' etc because I assume that the comedy aspect will ruin the action aspect or vice versa. But that said, in terms of Mafia comedies I did like Analyze This (and That) so I'm sure I'd like it if I watched it, it's just that that sort of thing effects my will to dive in in the first place

The Sopranos can be quite funny in certain episodes, but it isn't a comedy. It's a crime drama.

I would recommend it.

Doesn't matter though, I love crime dramas too... used to love all the stuff like Law and Order and CSI on channel 5, and Law and Order certainly has some of the same actors as Oz, so I'd assume it's made by HBO.

It's a crime drama about the Mafia in the US, particularly a fictional family called the 'Sopranos' hence the name. But it also obviously has other families in it. Again, I would definitely recommend it. Worth a watch.

It was only relatively recently (in a Mafia game I think) that I realised it wasn't quite what I thought it was. I thought it would just be something like a Hollywood modern 'epic'... you know... pick a period and there's a film for it... Troy... Alexander etc. All basically the same. So I admit I was a bit confused why GoT was the talk of the town. But then seeing a clip or two realised it was a lot more involved (and less stereotypical) than one of those films. But I can't remember how now. Remind me

You need to press the pause button on your life and then get you some GoT. It's quite possibly the greatest TV show ever created (certainly my personal favorite). You'll understand why...
