Just finished making (to a workable state... perfecting it will be ongoing) a semi-recursive SQLite database for my philosophy course, basing its design on neurons. Not a bad day's work
 I wanted to be able to have a hierarchical record of arguments, such that you could go in at any level and see all the propositions, objections, summaries, notes etc at that point... so that I could work back down the tree to the foundations of certain arguments (Aquinas, looking at you  ). So the way it works is that an argument can contain a mixture of other arguments and immediate propositions in any order... so the five ways contains the first way, the second way etc, and any notes I want to make (which are immediate content) or analysis from other people... with a field for references. So I can look at it at the level of the five ways, or go down a level and choose a specific way, and then see its arguments and immediate content. I'm well chuffed, cos I wasn't sure it was going to be possible but it's working beautifully... so I can be organised for my course... yay  and use this db to develop my own arguments and objections etc... so argue it as that same time as learning about it etc. Me happy
