Ugh, Quill! That's rough!
Can you not take custody and go to school still? Even if it's just part time or just a few classes?
Also, I'd get a clear cut answer on what "temporary" means...
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Yesterday on the bus, a young man told an older and rather rotund man that he dropped his keys. He was so anxious to pick them up that when he resurfaced, he thought another man had told him about the keys, and was thanking him and offering him reward money. The rest of us (including the man who had actually told him about the keys) laughed. It was really funny but he didn't realize his mistake and we got to our stop and everyone got off the bus. Amazingly the man who was offered the reward money refused (which is to be expected) and also played along while trying not to laugh. May sound like we're cruelly laughing at someone but really the man was over the moon about the keys he didn't realize what was happening, probably thought we were happy for him.
Lilly(9) and Jazz(5) are my little cousins. They're mom is in quite a bit of legal trouble, mom didn't specify but I can guess. And she wants me to take temporary custody of the girls.
Not to mention I still have to help with Shawn being in the hospital. I feel like crying. I stopped school to finish Braille and emotional adjust to being blind, but now I need to put everything on the back burner again just when I'm feeling healthy enough to go back. And course I'm not going to turn my family but I feel like saying "What about me?!" Shit! Now I am crying.
Feeling your pain. All you can do is deal with what is in front of you NOW. The rest will follow.
Taking my own advice...... But that doesn't stop the overwhelming urge to be just shot of this whole living business. A good sleep is what is needed.

Hola pocaracas
Don't mind me, like Miss Quill other peoples needs are just getting on top of me and there is very little I can do about it but help where I can.
Autistic son is having dramas with funding and managing his anxiety over his current living conditions. Guess who has to play mental health support. It gets tiring and my own health issues go to the back burner... Liken to Miss Quills situation.
Yeah we say "shot us NOW" so we are done with this BS, but tomorrow we'll be there caring and supporting others as best we can.
And the doctors wonder WHY I smoke! HA! Frustration Central is what is happening here... Did I mention the dramas my mum and daughter are going through!
Anyway thank you for the concern, if you have a magic wand to make it all better, wave it now. Actually I think you just did, and that is what makes this forum great... The concern we have for each other.
Thanks for listening to my rant

You can always say NO!
But I know you won't ...... Any support (financial and other) you can get for this situation? Sorry, dumb Aussie here and I have no idea what USA support there is.

Most the help here involves tons red tape. And I know what you're going through, my uncle mightn't have gotten so sick if didn't have such a fear of doctors. He autistic and developmentally delayed. He like a highly efficient 12 year old. It's tough. And I couldn't say no to taking care of him or my cousins. Two small girls of color as wards of the state no thanks. My uncle either, not when the alternative is an institution. Gosh I haven't slept at all. Sigh. Hugs u guys.

Hang in there darlin'
Yes there IS tons of unnecessary "red tape" to keep others employed. You just got to go with it, and try (in there some where) to get some "me time" for you!
Isn't it strange that some of us who are classified as "bums, bludgers, living off the system" are "employed" in voluntary and important work?
Keep smiling girl, you are doing just fine. Me? Oh a bottle of Chardonnay and at least five cigs will set me to rights.
A GOOD night's sleep would do even more!

Yep, "When the going gets tough, the tough go cleaning"
Did I mention my little exercise yesterday? Sparkling clean house and immaculate garden and knife edged lawns?
Today my body hates me.......... :S

You girls keep it up, huh?
Caring for family is, sometimes, tough, but that's what family is all about!
