Reading an interesting article on Warden Burl Cain, formerly of Angola Prison in Louisiana, and his reliance on Christianity to try to reform prisoners (and, arguably, to convert them to said Chriistianity).

Been getting excited about my next payment... because when I next get paid I'm gonna buy a VST emulation of my favorite instrument of all time. The Roland 303 Transitor Bass. More commonly known as the TB-303 or simply, the 303*.

And look at this.... the emulation is so perfect that it sounds fucking IDENTICAL to the hardware:





So, soon I'm going to be able to play with my favorite synth and instrument of all time... so I am super duper fucking excited about that.

Also, lack of oxygen due to the lingering ash may be telling your body to go to sleep. Keep someone around to check up on you once in a while.

Masks? Would they help?

Paper masks really do nothing when you're talking about smoke. They're designed for large particles like sawdust or other large air particulate. If you want to protect lungs from smoke you'd need a respirator.

Yes, it's probably a side effect of chemo and the fact that I spent a good portion of Sunday at the State Fair walking around in the heat. I spent all day yesterday napping on my couch. Today I'm going to lay down over my lunch break but I've been doing pretty well "awakeness" wise the last few hours. I only get sleepy when I yawn...
