MLS is hard for me to follow since they stream their games on their own paid streaming channel, and I don't really pay a lot of attention to the premiere league generally. Plus men's soccer isn't as fun to watch for me. they take dives and play up fouls alot more than the women's side. In otherwords, they play like little bitches.
I follow the NWSL the closest: small league, only 5 years only, only about 10 teams, but they've got a lot of talent.
I also enjoy women's UEFA and women's international soccer.

Nowadays, it just feels like those guys are way way overpaid to simply play a game. I'd rather play myself instead of feeding that industry.
Support your women's teams: they are just as talented as the men's teams but vastly underpaid by comparison since their pay is a problem for you. Their games get less attendance too, so tickets tend to be cheaper (except my Thorns who lead the world in attendance for women's soccer - 16,000+ per game on average), and you'll be supporting the development of players who are otherwise overlooked.

Just "finished " a watercolor. Might revisit it in awhile to see if I can touch it up. Also just watched / listened to The Huntsman: Winter's War. It was terrible. But the costumes are cool which was all I expected from it. I honestly wasn't paying enough attention to even summarize the Plot.
Chemo #3 is this Friday and I'll be halfway through this phase of treatment!

I don't live in NWSL land, but the LA Galaxy, through one of its youth clubs, put up a WPSL (women's 2nd-tier) team about 20 mi. north of San Diego, in Carlsbad. LAGSD did put their matches online, which was good, because life was getting in the way of me being able to go. It seems like they were successful, so I'd hope they'd be back next season. Until then, SDSU Aztecs uni footy.
But for now, Food Paradise, on Travel, in Sturgis.

NWSL games are aired on Lifetime and steamed on go90 - or they were before Irma hit Florida where go90 is apparently headquartered.
Watching Speed and contemplating dessert. It's only 6:30, I knew I would have waited until later for dinner.

Yeah, there's definitely LifeTime, and they seem to have done well overall with their telecasts. I guess I was just speaking more locally.
All that said, overall, I like Seattle Sounders (MLS) and Portland Thorns (NWSL). The Thorns actually have their own youth teams in other states, including the California Thorns, but they are in the Bay Area. As much as I support LAGSD, I'd prefer a Thorns WPSL team down here.
On another note, one of SDSU's recent alums plays in the Frauen Bundesliga now, for newly-promoted Jena.
Emmy's now.

I'm from Portland, I'm obligated to loathe Seattle teams.
(Unless they're not playing Portland, then I'll cheer for them)

Yeah, as much as I like the Cascadia thing in American soccer, I have family ties to both SEA and VAN, and started with the Thorns because of their hiring the former Cindy Parlow, who was my first favorite soccer player ever (and who waved at me unsolicitedly in Columbus Crew Stadium [Mapfre now] in '02 at USWNT v. Scotland).

We fumigated a shed (~6' X ~6' footprint) at the back of my MiL's property in preparation for renting it out. We just put a fogger in there, closed the doors and ran away (well, my son did). We went in to see how many dead critters were in there, and all that was found was one very live lizard, about a foot long or a little more. We can't see how it could have gotten in/out, but it was fine. It took a little effort to capture it and release it outside the shed. It hasn't returned to the shed. Weird.

It has finally happened.
Daniel Smith has discontinued their PO49 single pigment quinacridone gold.
: sobbing :
They only have their two pigment replacement mix available on their website now. It's just not the same.
Must make an emergency trip to the art store to buy up the remaining stock.

*squints* It looks like English...

Despite setting it so Facebook wouldn't send me notifications about my stupid 20th high school reunion, I still saw some shit about it on my timeline because of my friends. I figured out how to uninvite myself, so yay. Sorry, but I don't want to pay to go to some shitty local restaurant and watch a group of people I don't remember get drunk. I'd rather have a kidney stone, and I legit almost died from one a couple years ago.

I disconnected the Cat5 from the router on the second floor, dropped it down the conduit that's on the surface of the living room wall, and brought it back up from the basement via a new conduit that's inside the adjoining wall. Didn't even have to take off the plug to do it, because it fit nicely through the tubing. (I did tape the tiny little plastic lock-tab down so that it wouldn't snap off in transit.)
I have some accounting stuff to finish and send off this afternoon, but then I'm going out for a nice dark-roast coffee somewhere. Am specifically doing things in that order so that I don't get home and decide to stall on the spreadsheet work.
Dumb question and I know there's a common sense answer, but with so many things being wireless today, and also using the powerline adapters (ip connectivity through the house power cables, etc, why the hassle of rerouting cat5 cables?)
