Giving myself a month to get it all sorted and done.
What are you using for insulation?

Yeah, I'm definitely going to get sick of quiche. Had one of the leaky ones fire lunch, two of the properly baked ones for dinner and I still have 8 in my fridge to eat in the next couple days.
Watching USvNZ friendlies and having a hot flash. Lindsay Horan almost got a goal off a diving header for 3-0. Soccer is underappreciated in the US.

Soccer is fun to watch when the teams are talented. Unfortunately, the New England Revolution are a dumpster fire. I do watch the World Cup (both men's and women's), and am generally amazed.
They show a lot of English Premiere League here, but I have no idea who to follow/root for. Despite having some Scottish ancestry, I know fuck-all about the UK and it's traditions.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I like to use a combination of sheet Styrofoam with some puffy insulation, either Fiberglas or mineral wool. The mineral wool doesn't give me as much grief when I cut it, but it has a nasty tendency to fall apart if I handle it too much.
I glue the Styrofoam sheet (1" or 1 1/2") into the cavity first, and sometimes run a bead of expandable foam around it. That cuts down a lot on air leaks through the old exterior sheathing -- This house is over 100 years old now.
I then use the puffy insulation to fill the space between the wall studs (and often make the wall a bit deeper by adding a 2x2 to the inside edge).
Finally I cover the insulation with plastic vapour barrier on the inside and finish the wall.
Edited to add: I wasn't sure where to put this (probably belongs in a "What are you listening to" thread), but it's weird. For no apparent reason -- wasn't listening to it recently, or even thinking about the band -- the Yes song "Yours is No Disgrace" suddenly popped into my head via my on-board digital earworm generator. Heard the tune in the back of my head, did a quick ID, and went "WTF?"

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are usually good bets.
When I gave up on following Portuguese football, I followed Man.United...back in the days of Cantona, and when Beckham came up and took over his number 7.
Nowadays, it just feels like those guys are way way overpaid to simply play a game. I'd rather play myself instead of feeding that industry.

had to get up and pee, wanted to check in and see if the night shift had burned the place down . . . .

This message comes to you courtesy of my just-rerouted Internet connection! I disconnected the Cat5 from the router on the second floor, dropped it down the conduit that's on the surface of the living room wall, and brought it back up from the basement via a new conduit that's inside the adjoining wall. Didn't even have to take off the plug to do it, because it fit nicely through the tubing. (I did tape the tiny little plastic lock-tab down so that it wouldn't snap off in transit.)
I have some accounting stuff to finish and send off this afternoon, but then I'm going out for a nice dark-roast coffee somewhere. Am specifically doing things in that order so that I don't get home and decide to stall on the spreadsheet work.

Drove by an busy intersection very near my home that lately appears to have turned into a makeshift Hyde Park Speaker's Corner. I've seen a number of political protests and religious bible-thumpers holding signs, including a bunch today with "Jesus is Lord" signs. Too bad I wasn't able to flash a thumbs-down sign while I was driving by. Or the middle finger, take your pick.
