Just got back from Surfer's Paradise.
Fully intended not to speed but there was a sign saying the range crossing would be closed from midnight to 4am.
The alternate road is shonky and full of pot holes and surprise kangaroos.
I made it through the crossing at 11.55pm.
Nice to be home.

The toilet is about 25 feet from me, in the master bathroom. If it's cold in the morning, it takes hydraulic pressure to get me out of bed.

On the prowl for tres leches cake for a birthday party on Sunday. But no Mexican bakeries within a 20 mile radius, dang it. Might have to just go with a Safeway cake instead.
