Not much. Just took an opportunity to catch up on e-mail, read an e-book, and check out what is going on here in AF. In the mean time I am hiding from the Silly Season, waiting for it to all be over.

Weird stuff -- or at least weirder than usual for me.
RTFM for some pastry-embossing rolling pins recently acquired from Poland, and duly washed and dried them prior to first use. Then, once I got upstairs to my office, spent some time studying a lead D&D minature of Caramon Majere that, uh, needs a bit of work prior to its long-long-overdue paint job: "Wonder what I can use to replace the hand that broke off, and the sword it was holding?" (makes mental note to check old Larry Elmore Dragonlance art to see what the sword is supposed to look like) "Bloody 'ell! The only reason he's taller than Raistlin is because of that damn helmet. And why is his chest so small? Add more stuff to the legs, or build up at the waist?" (ponders feasibility of sawing apart a 1-inch-tall figurine and putting it back together again; muses about buying a microscope, which can be used to look at biological stuff and whatnot, too) Meanwhile, the Master of Past and Present -- already nearly finished with gold skin and black robes, and requiring just a bit of detailing with a #00000 paintbrush -- stands nearby with a quiet smirk on his face, ankle-deep in the thick dust atop a copy of Dawkins' The Greatest Show on Earth.
