Narrowly avoided killing or maiming some dumbass who made a u-turn right in front of me. He was driving like a derp, so I had already slowed down, trying to figure out what he was doing; if I hadn't, when he turned right to go on that cross street, but then wheeled around right in front of me, there is no way I would have been able to stop in time, and would have t-boned him.
Pretty good driving for an old man...

Feeling good today! Got the results of my pathology from surgery and it was basically all good. The only iffy part is that they found cancer still in one (but only one!) lymphnode so my doctors are arguing about radiation now. I have my pain pump turned to 4-3 down from 5-5 and got myself changed for bed tonight
. The only bad thing is that I'm a little nauseated for some reason. Meh, it's gotta be something

Yep, it's framed. My wife went with a maroon colored mat and a dark wood frame. I'll post a picture here once hung. She wants to wait until Monday.

Listening to the new music I've made.
I've been using a lot of vintage synths.
And I've been liking the Alesis Andromeda.
But I wanna use the Oberheim Xpander more because it has that quirky rather Orbital-like sound to it when tweaked the right way.
Hardly surprising really: Orbital have used that synth on every one of their albums.

I am officially detached from my pain pump!!!!
On the one hand it's incredibly freeing and I can't wait until my wound vac comes off in three days.
On the other hand I have no idea how much pain I'll have tonight so I have my super pills primed and ready to go just in case

Officially done with Christmas shopping. Decided to go with an Xtreme Foodie theme this year, getting a couple of useful things from a kitchen supply store plus a cookbook from the bookstore.
When I got home I baked mincemeat tarts using some leftover puff pastry (my daughter used the other half-package last night to make some Portuguese custard tarts), and then did mass quantities of dishes and cleaned the sink within an inch of its life.
And then I sat down with a cup of tea and a copy of The War of Art by Steven Pressfield, and nommed one two of the still-warm-from-the-oven tarts.
