Well, I just got around to moving my new amp to my room.

That's a VTX-20X? Nice amp.

I'm seriously thinking about buying a Vox AC4 (1x12 4W tube amp - I want a small tube amp I can push the volume on for that sweet tube sound, larger amps are just too damn loud.).

Certainly good idea, although the VT20X does still have a power level knob where you can go from a fraction of a watt to full power. Not trying to talk you out of the full tube amp, but I suspect it might still get you where you'd want to go (even if it does involve keeping the power level knob low). I picked the Vt20X because I think it could hold its own (either on its own merits or with the help of a mic) in some live situations. Well, that and it was cheaper.

And dad also just brought in a big pile of 2x2 wooden bars from the old back porch and is thinking about turning them into another instrument. His initial thought was a marimba (technically, a vibraphone, but vibes have metal keys), but it turned out to be a lot more complicated than originally thought just to figure out how big the bars would have to be. Now I wonder what we could use them for.

There are only a few people I know who would get something like this for me, but I haven't spoken to most of them since 2006.

I'm gonna be the envy of everyone at work tomorrow though!

Finishing off the bottle of sparkling wine that we opened for dinner on the 25th, and pondering where I should take a CD player for a cleaning and adjustment (it balks at playing the first track but is fine thereafter).

Finishing off the bottle of sparkling wine that we opened for dinner on the 25th, and pondering where I should take a CD player for a cleaning and adjustment (it balks at playing the first track but is fine thereafter).

How do you keep sparkling wine sparkling that long? We had a bottle that was won in a raffle, but didn't open it until we had enough people to share it without it going flat before it was finished.

Went to the gym with my mom only to discover that the class she was going to go to wasn't running so we both went into the cardio room and she did her routine and I walked on the treadmill.

Got home to discover that I was leaking from where the drains are coming out on the left so we redressed them and hopefully they'll come out on Friday.

Otherwise I'm meeting my coworker for breakfast on Friday (that's the day after tomorrow right??) and I have two doctors appointments next week.

I really like how you are taking this like a trooper. I realize that it is your life, but you could be bitching about it, and you aren't. That's some real class, right there.
