Making plans to drive to Alabama this weekend while we have NO kids.

I say we make a pool with each person's guess as to how many hours Joods is in Alabama before someone asks her, "So which church do you go to?"

Today was "finish a bunch of stuff" day. I got a piece of drywall installed, a bit of plaster smoothed, and a file organized, hole-punched, and put into storage.

Lmao.. yes on purpose. We are going to surprise Rob's mom with a visit :D

We'll leave here from the house around 6:30pm and get to her place at around 4 in the morning, call her and tell her to "open up the dang door cause it's freezin out here!"

I'll be too stoned to care. Practically everyone in his family smokes pot - including his mom. It's probably the first thing we will do after she opens up the door :D

Starting to plot out our New Year's Eve pizza-making, and e-mailed my daughter for flavour suggestions.

It's been a wonderful morning. At eight o'clock every morning, the alarm clock of one of my neighboring apartment's residents goes off. And they don't wake up. So the alarm goes off for an hour. *beep* *beep* *beep* But that wasn't terrible because the alarm's beep was muted and somewhat dull, so I could ignore the noise. Well this week, they replaced that alarm clock with one that gives a shrill and obnoxious beep, like the sound a truck makes backing up. And still they don't wake up. So finally 9 o'clock rolls around and the alarm quits. But wait, at 9:15 a different alarm clock goes off! Thankfully that one only beeped for fifteen minutes before they shut it off. So I'm lying in bed trying to nap a little more, and I get a nose bleed. I haven't had a nose bleed since when I was a child. Suddenly I've got blood dripping everywhere. *sigh* What's next?

Can you file a noise complaint with the building manager?

I suppose I could. I hadn't thought of that. I'm a bit reluctant because I know what it's like to have such troubles waking up, yet still needing to get up. When I was a teenager, my alarm clock radio could be heard two floors above me (via a laundry chute), and still I wouldn't wake up. I'm not sure whose apartment the noise is coming from, but if it's what I think, the person is a friend of sorts. I'll see how much of a problem it is as things go forward. If I'm disturbed by it every morning, I probably will file a complaint.

We get to leave for Alabama a few hours early!

So I'm outta here... gotta get all packed up and ready to go, for the weekend.

If we leave by 3pm, we should get there around 1am. Going to get the gps in my phone set up so I don't have to worry about it as I'll be doing most of the driving.
