A coworker just confirmed he will work the weekend of the 14th-15th for me in exchange for another duty weekend yet to be determined. Excellent news! My youngest daughter will be here on the 11th for a weeklong visit, and now that I know I will have that weekend free I can go ahead and make some plans.
We're definitely going to see Mavis Staples (Oh, how I love her!) perform at the Baton Rouge Blues Festival that Saturday, and Sunday will be devoted to showing Candice around the French Quarter/Garden District. Looking forward to it!
