Just got back from having dinner at a local Japanese place. I tried Udon for the first time and it might take some getting used to, but I didn’t like it cold. It came cold with a cold sweet brothy like sauce and scallions. But that’s how it’s served, cold.

I’m trying to figure out why the US media is tripping over themselves with all this royal wedding nonsense. Harry’s not our prince, and Meghan’s most famous for being engaged to him. Why all this breathless, multi-month long coverage? Who really gives a fuck?

Yeah, I'm a pretty egalitarian guy myself, like any good USian. I wouldn't bend to kiss a clerical ring unless I had a sword at my neck. Ronald Reagan knelt before the queen of England to be knighted, even though that is completely meaningless in the US. I'd never kneel before the "royalty" of any other country, either.

I am at my office and listening to a lecture on YouTube called The Importance of Atheist Activism. I will be going out to the field later today with my assistant.
There is more magnificence looking at a grain of sand through a microscope than in the most lavish holy book in the world.
