Today I've taken the SWMBO to the Epworth in Richmond for a stint to be put in her leg. I think it's an overnighter. Just sitting outside the hospital having a fag. I'll be home alone tonight so I might go see Jurassic.

Flipping through some books looking for inspiration for my next wood carving. I was carving a Japanese style bear, but dropped it and broke off an ear, which seems to have grown legs. Fuck it. It's now fire wood. I'll come up with something for tomorrow's club meeting. It'll take weeks to carve whatever it turns out to be, anyway. I did a little carving on my coat of arms, but did not have a lot of time, what with running errands all day.
My son and I will likely FINALLY finish the block wall in the next two days.

Last clarinet lesson till classes start up again in the fall.
When I got home I did some reading, practised a bit on my bass clarinet (gradually getting the hang of that thing), and made a German-style baked pancake with blueberries. Just downloaded my homework for the summer: Study #15 from a book of 32 studies by by Cyrille Rosé. (looks at printout from music library and turns very pale) Dear, sweet Uncle Loki -- WTF is going on in bars 11 and 12 after the fermata?  In for a penny, in for a pound...
