Been watching a crap load of youtube videos on the new mustang model.
(and all the drivetrain problems with it experienced by some leadfoots)

Anyway the big 3 (Ford, Chrysler and GM) are all playing who's got the biggest dick.
I thought the musclecar war of the late 60's was big.
This current one is out of control!
We're up to 797 horsepower now, straight from the showroom floor. (Dodge Demon Redeye)
All the gearheads are waiting for the details of the new Ford Shelby 500 to be released.
We've even got conspiracy theories as to how much horsepower this will have after a ford honcho stated publicly that
"Venom kills Demons". (Venom refers to Shelby's Supersnake!).
The specs of the new Shelby are so secretive and elusive that people are calling this Mustang the "Unicorn"!

Just came back from a concert at Ravinia with Milos Karadaglic. It was magical... at least until Dad got an alarm from home saying that there was some possible flooding in the basement. We had to leave just before he got into the Beatles section of the show.

Well, here it is:













Fortunately, by the time we came back, it was only about an inch or two of water, and we managed to get it all contained relatively quickly. It's almost totally drained, and tomorrow, we'll be spending a shit-ton of time getting it to dry before mold starts to grow.

Cleared away a pile of demolition trash from my study, mostly ancient 2x4s and plaster lath. With that crap cut, bagged and ready for disposal, I have sufficient room to create *another* pile of demolition trash. (Fortunately I'm running out of walls to work on. All the exterior walls were gutted and reinsulated last year, and I just have a bit of old plaster to get rid of on the interior walls.)

Cooked up a pound of shrimp for supper and served it in the pan, with a loaf of French bread to soak up the garlic/olive oil/butter I'd fried it in.

Too late at night to start something new, so I'm just going to sit here and sip brandy and generally goof off.

And prayer helps the millions who do it to feel better about themselves without having to do anything real.
