What's everyone up to right now?

It's not single-handed, I'm right there with you.

A couple weeks ago I had to have a plumber out to fix a leaking valve in my hall bathroom and now I've got the bathroom-remodel-blues again.

I think that I might tile the floors but the tile that I found that I just love love love is like $11.50 a square foot! A SQUARE FOOT!! A box of it that covers like 11 square feet is almost $130! Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Time to start falling out of love with it.

But just think how happy you'll feel every time you go in there. Some things are worth the price.

Not if this isn't my forever home.

And it's not.  It's my "foot in the real estate door," "potential future investment property" home.  I'm fine putting money into it to improve its value but not $130/box tile sort of money.

It just sucks because it's beautiful tile.

OK then, that makes good sense.

Ther should be some place in Portland that sells contractor overages where you can get fantastic tile for considerably less than retail. We've got one here and got the replacement toilet for the kids bathroom for about 180. Not bad for a toilet that sells at Home Depot for 350.

Drinking a Pepsi and chilling to Tosca. I normally drink Mio flavored water, but I really like Coke and Pepsi. I've been buying pop with my pizza orders because I don't have the room in my shopping basket for pop when I go grocery shopping, but that's really expensive, so I'm going to have to cut it out of my budget to make ends meet. Fortunately, they had two liters of Pepsi on sale this week for $1 a bottle. So between Friday and today, I bought 29 bottles of pop. That should last me a while. The only problem is finding room in the cupboards to store that much pop. But you can't beat the price.
