I’ll show them around the Lord of the Rings locations. Then I’ll show them a local habitat for native birds.

Then I’ll take them to White Island...

Played a concert tonight in a seniors' residence. A good time was had by all -- although there are always a couple of awesome moments in the program where either I or the band director or both of us get verklempt and teary-eyed. We currently have a kick-ass arrangement of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" in the rotation, so that's the Usual Suspect this season.

If we get to the end of a piece and feel like I'm frozen in time with just me, my clarinet and the notes dying away in the room, and goosebumps on my arms, we did it right.
