Woke up this morning and was greeted by a pile of shit a response by Huggy. Oh well, I guess the day has to start some way.

I've got an apartment inspection coming up in mid-October, so my plan for today is to at least clean the bathroom, as that's the worst of it. Maybe I'll do some other cleaning, I don't know.

So that's my goal for today. Weekends are a slow news cycle, so hopefully I can catch up there. (As if I've been at all able to turn my eyes away from the train wreck happening in D.C.)

My youngest stepson is visiting for the weekend on a pass from Job Corps. We're taking him and the pupper to a pumpkin patch for cider, apple donuts, and such.

Having a chilled peppermint mocha espresso drink (Starbucks brand). I was feeling sleepy so I took a walk and ended up at Target. Bought a few things.

Pork loin on sale for $1.69/lb, so making 12lbs of pulled pork.

Pissing the evening away listening to music on Youtube. There's a game on, but I rather like this instead.

Got my ride to the "Does God Exist?" meetup on the 16th. We'll be talking about evil and devils and shit. Better bone up on my Augustine.

Did a bit of puttering-about, repairing and tidying-up.

Trying to talk myself into going out to some sort of Nuit Blanche activity tonight, but as the current temperature in Winnipeg is 9°C it'll have to be an indoor art installation.

With reasonably good parking.

And coffee.

I went shopping and was sucked in by a salesman hawking satellite tv services. I dumped that 4 years ago and would never go back so I knew how the sales pitch would end. But the guy's pitch was so entertaining and I wasn't in a hurry so I played along for a bit. And then said no at the end.
