Stopping in to update.
Dad's condition worsened and taking him to the ER seemed best. They admitted him this morning with a subdural hematoma, which explains the symptoms. It must have occurred prior to his fall the other night though. His memory is much worse than a few days ago. I suppose that's expected until they relieve the pressure on his brain. @Cathooloo I hope your dad comes through this okay. Hugs.
I slept most of the day, staying off my ankle. I was able to see the results of my x-ray via my patient portal. No fracture detected but I do have lateral swelling so I'm going to be very sore. I'll find out how long the doctor wants me to take it easy for. I'm seriously hoping I heal before school starts otherwise I will have to postpone my start until January, when the next class starts. Disclaimer: I am only responsible for what I say, not what you choose to understand.
Thinking about what I'm going to have for tea tonight, and it's only 10 past 9.
Thinking...just thinking....and nothing happening

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
@wiseass
Dad's liver and kidney function is not well in addition to the immediate crisis. He's 80, frail, diabetic, alcoholic, and has a history of CHF. No, he will not be going home unless there's some way we can arrange for 24/7 babysitting. It's not time for that though. He keeps talking about dying. He thinks it's time. It's not, in my estimation, not today at least. |
