What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Pissed off, and not just because the special snowflakes who Tibbs is going out of his way to accomodate are being their usual, braindead, hypocritical cuntish selves, though that may be part of it.

I purchased an Instant Pot for $99.95 which included a free $15 gift card a few days ago, intending it as a gift for my sister and brother-in-law for Christmas.  Now today I notice they have it for $69.95 with a free $10 gift card, so I think "Great!" that's just what I needed.  Otherwise I was going to trade it in for a functionally identical Crock Pot brand version going for $49.95.  So I get out my little shopping cart, plop the thing in it with a bag draped over it because it was too big even for the large Target bags, and hop on a bus down to Target.  I get down there and they inform me that they can't make an adjustment because it's an online deal and that I have to go home, order it, wait for it to be prepared for pickup, then schlepp the other one back down there so that I can pick up the new one and return the old one.  On top of that, because it's an online order, I can't get a gift receipt, so any returns from my sister and brother-in-law will have to be mediated through me instead of them simply going to the store and returning it.  This is bloody stupid.  I understand that, for whatever reason, their systems and policies are set up in ways that can't enable them to simply make an adjustment at the store, but that's a fault that I as a loyal customer am ending up paying for.  I'm pissed and because I'm understanding of the reason, I don't even get the satisfaction of assigning blame.  Arrgh!

How long does it take to do a plasma donation?  I used to give blood but have had low-normal red blood cells over more recent years, and don't really want to donate whole blood anymore.

That may disqualify you, even for plasma only. You'd need to contact the donation organization.

Well, I had a fairly intensive afternoon; I spent several hours working on a large piece (over 2000 words) on Threatin's infamous tour of the UK earlier in the month for my Anglotopia column.

And after some relaxation, I got ready for my Business 101 class. We did some talk about whistleblowers and some "What's New in Business" presentations. I did one on this article and during the discussion on whistleblowers, I told the class about the time my mother tried to be one for my former church when it turned out that they were turning a blind eye to a sexual predator who was growing more powerful in the church, and told the Pioneer Press about it. Not much changed, except she totally cut ties after they called her "Satan" in the article, and he stayed there until he finally went to trial and pled guilty over a year later.

And since I forgot to say who the pedalbuilder with the $50 Orange Squeezer Clone was. It's Chicago StompWorks.

And while I don't have a demo, here's one of the AnalogMan Juicer, which I think may be the same variation on the circuit (what with the volume boost knob)

Well, this version is bare metal and since the Phase 90 clone isn't on my "board" anymore, I suppose I don't have to deal with two orange pedals with a single knob next to each other.

Bent. Not sure I'll be able to straighten out by turkey day, given that is tomorrow, but I'll give it the old team try.

Had a great day at the range. Found some ammo that my rifle likes better, and have ~20% better groups. Killed a BUNCH of paper.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
