Pissed off, and not just because the special snowflakes who Tibbs is going out of his way to accomodate are being their usual, braindead, hypocritical cuntish selves, though that may be part of it.
I purchased an Instant Pot for $99.95 which included a free $15 gift card a few days ago, intending it as a gift for my sister and brother-in-law for Christmas. Now today I notice they have it for $69.95 with a free $10 gift card, so I think "Great!" that's just what I needed. Otherwise I was going to trade it in for a functionally identical Crock Pot brand version going for $49.95. So I get out my little shopping cart, plop the thing in it with a bag draped over it because it was too big even for the large Target bags, and hop on a bus down to Target. I get down there and they inform me that they can't make an adjustment because it's an online deal and that I have to go home, order it, wait for it to be prepared for pickup, then schlepp the other one back down there so that I can pick up the new one and return the old one. On top of that, because it's an online order, I can't get a gift receipt, so any returns from my sister and brother-in-law will have to be mediated through me instead of them simply going to the store and returning it. This is bloody stupid. I understand that, for whatever reason, their systems and policies are set up in ways that can't enable them to simply make an adjustment at the store, but that's a fault that I as a loyal customer am ending up paying for. I'm pissed and because I'm understanding of the reason, I don't even get the satisfaction of assigning blame. Arrgh!
