I'm driving back from the beach. Few unseasonal showers and a fair bit of construction means the usual 8.5 hour drive is 11 hours. Didn't anticipate it, so now it's almost 9 pm and we still have a fair bit to go. : /

The word bed actually looks like a bed.

For whatever reason, though I have a few suspicions, the days of wine and roses at AF are gone, and have been replaced by something more akin to Ragnarok. I am eagerly waiting the renewal that comes after such, but I also know what portends for the Midgard Serpent. ![]() (November 22, 2018 at 11:18 am)Jörmungandr Wrote: For whatever reason, though I have a few suspicions, the days of wine and roses at AF are gone, and have been replaced by something more akin to Ragnarok. You could say that twice.

Food prep for the day. My son has a hand full of friends that typically don't have a place to go (or don't want to go) for the holiday, we refer to them as the lost boys (they're not all boys). So, it's open door/invite and we never know exactly how many to expect or what time they'll show. Things start around 3PM and continue until we can't stand it.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
On my way to work.
Friday. On call. Fuck!! Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
Weird. Meals-On-Wheels just delivered a Thanksgiving meal. Yesterday they delivered two meals. I thought this was to cover the fact that they wouldn't be delivering on Thanksgiving. I was wrong. Apparently they're just trying to fatten me up for the slaughter.

Where do you think they get the meat for the Christmas meals?

The only time you see them is on holidays, and only at her parents' place, because they had a pool. They'd wander in with miscellaneous friends we'd never been introduced to, eat a bunch of food (and never brought any), play in the pool, and leave. Pretty much only talked among themselves. I called them the "Rat Pack". The last time they showed up, my son and one of their sons were playing in the pool, and my son dunked the other boy. I was getting a drink from the garage and only heard some raised voices. When I got back, my FiL said that my son was in trouble, but my wife in no uncertain terms reamed the other boy's dad for his over reaction and yelling at our son. They didn't come around after that, and they were not missed.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
