I seem to have created a predicament for myself. My philosophy group is meeting in about a week on Monday the 10th, due to scheduling issues, so I will have to read Plato's Phaedrus by then. I normally read stuff for that group the weekend before, but that weekend I've got two other meetup groups scheduled, both of which require advance reading to prepare for. So fitting all that into one weekend, not even considering that I have a full day of football to watch that Sunday, seems a bit much. I can probably ably prepare myself for all these events provided I don't procrastinate and accomplish the necessary reading well ahead of time. But how realistic is that? It's still early today, but I'm finding shooting the shit with Khem about philosophical issues eminently distracting. And Drich is consuming an unhealthy amount of my time with his usual bullshit. I'll need to be disciplined in the coming week ahead. Ick. Don' wanna.

Due to a miscalculation, the lease on my current apartment doesn’t expire until Dec 9. The tenant in my old house, which I am moving back into to be closer to the new job, moved out yesterday. So I have over a week to move my stuff. The problem is although the tenant hired a cleaning service that did a reasonably good job, the house still smells like a curry bazaar. Unfortunately it promises to rain all during the next week. So it is difficult to air out the house.

Also, the tenant stole the door mat, the matched wall paint and the spare floor tiles from when the house what built, as well as the motion detecting lights on the outside and replaced them with cheaper lantern lights. Who the hell does that?

Do you have before pictures to establish the thefts? I lived in an apartment in the '80s where the previous tenant took most of the light bulbs when he moved out. Talk about cheap!
