Rearranging the storage unit to fit more stuff in, getting the house ready for the painters. After paint, I just have a day or so of handyman and yard work and then the house goes on the market.

Coming soon to a bedroom near you... or at least me...
In commemoration of the boss deciding to up my stipend, and figuring out how cheap it actually is, I bought this on Musicians Friend. A combination ADT/low-gain overdrive for $76 including tax? That’s pretty bloody good.
So I figured I may as well get it now, and I think I’ve figured out how to set the “Spread” (read: delay time) for an authentic “Revolver” ADT and (for good measure, some idea of the magnitude of gain Keith Richards’ Tape recorder gave him for “Street Fightin Man”.)
Demonstration:
one site (https://www.petervis.com/interests/publi...r_Rig.html) not only figured out exactly what model tape recorder he used on that session, but exactly which part was responsible, a single AC125 transistor. How much gain, it did not say, other than an HFE of about 50, which may or may not translate properly into dB gain, but I looked up pedals that use it and the KMa Strokkur (http://kma-machines.com/m_strokkur.html) relies on one and it has a maximum boost of 17 dB. Another pedal that uses it, the Keeley Germanium Amplifier, according to a forum post I can’t find right now, starts clipping when the voltage gain reaches 3, roughly 9 1/2 dB. So, there’s a range to play with, and given that it’s maximum gain is 26dB, I know the right ranges to go for. This has been Measuring the Marigolds with Rye so he can use the knowledge as a starting point to make his own damn marigolds.
I think this may be the secret weapon I’ve really needed all along.
On a less fortunate note, my belt somehow crapped out. I pulled it a bit too tight and the buckle pulled itself off the belt and we can’t reattach it.

just advertised my house in the Melbourne Chinese newspapers (3) and the Chinese online real estate sites.
If it sells it sells, if it doesn't, I stay...
I've asked Cecil from the agency (not sure if male or female!) to translate for me!
I hope they don't slaughter my description too much!

Just noticed that an old interview where John Wayne showcased how much of a dinosaur he was in terms of social issues is trending on Twitter. Yes, John Wayne was pretty bigoted and in one 1971 Playboy interview alone probably managed to fill up a whole bigotry bingo card, No, that shit isn't okay, even pointing out that this was 48 years ago and that his sidekick Walter Brennan was even worse (to the point where he danced with glee upon finding out that Martin Luther King had been assassinated).
What I want to know is, why is this surprising? I've known about this shit for years. It's been in the Wikipedia article about him for well over a decade. Public Enemy took potshots at him in "Fight the Power," one of the most famous rap songs in history, because of it. Hell, it was a joke on the Eric Andre show:
Why exactly is this news?

On this week's entry in the Deep Hurting Project, Life's a Jungle: Africa's Most Wanted. And just putting on the DVD, there's a bizarre thing. The box says it's 70 minutes long. The disc, however, says it's 88 minutes longer. Meanwhile, playing the damn film reveals it's even longer than that: 100 minutes and 30 seconds. Yes, I know it's basically a movie made to rip off unsuspecting grandmas who think they're picking up a copy of Madagascar 3 and don't know any better, but can you at least take enough care to keep your damn runtimes straight?

Well it's 4.25 pm and I just a nice nap.
Shortly ,I will finish watching 'Death Wish' with Bruce Willis, on Netflix. I've been a bit disappointed with Bruce'r offerings since he killed that helicopter with a car. Here, his character also lacks Charles Bronson's Stoicism
