If I ever move again, I'll be using people with younger and stronger backs. Doing it myself didn't even happen last time. They'll even do the packing and unpacking next time.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I just had a dream that I went to a beach party and got it on with Pamela Anderson.
I feel a little bit in love with her now, it'll pass. :-)
The next day she had to go to work and I hung around like a bad smell, cleaning up her beach pad and annoying her housemate.
The bad guy out of the first series of Hornblower showed up and we did not get on that well so I left.
Then I couldn't find where I had parked my car and I was wandering around the streets for hours until I ran into my childhood best friend who was out jogging.
Perfect opportunity to skite about who I got with the night before.
Then I found my car. Lovely dream, long overdue for a good one like that.

Getting up for the second time today. I went to bed at 10 pm last night, probably because yesterday morning I had gotten up at 2 am and not gone back to bed. Despite an hour nap yesterday afternoon, I was tired and didn't have the energy to eat dinner, and so I thought I'd lie down for a bit. At 1:30 am, I awoke and still hadn't eaten, but started up at the computer and didn't stop until some time after 7 am. So I lay down and tried to sleep for a few hours and am now up again. I'm brewing coffee and hoping my sleep schedule isn't irretrievably compromised.

Really?
What's wrong?
Me? I'm fine, thanks for asking. Spent most of yesterday waiting fora plumber. He didn't turn up or call. Another is expected shortly, as in now.
Something I just can't put off, such as not having any hot water.
Thanks for asking
I'm better now, I had a stomach ache for some reason, maybe something I ate. Did you get your water fixed?
Just got back from a long run, and there was a gentle breeze that made it bearable.

So glad you'r feeling better.
Got another plumber. The whole job was done in 2 days. An excellent example of proper coordination of tradesmen, & delivery. .
The old one was a gravity feed set up in the ceiling cavity. That meant no hot water pressure,, for shower or washing machine. Now I have full pressure for shower, and can use hot water for laundry. Never thought doing laundry could be fun. The shower is blooming looxury!-like the shower in a good hotel.
Just serendipity that I had the money. ( I don't use credit)

Was going to meet with my agent shortly but learned that the elusive third offer is going to be in my hands in a few hours.

Listening to XTC's Skylarking album and having a spot of tea. I have reading to do later, but that can wait. I also should do some budgeting, as despite an hour spent on it on Thursday, I'm still off by $30 in March compared to the bank record. I could work on that tonight, but to quote the movie Wrath Of Khan, "Enterprise can wait! She's not going anywhere!"

Every Saturday, at Superdawg, I get some ChickenMidgees (Tenders) and it turns out they recently made an option to turn it into a sandwich (by putting two of them on a bun). It was actually pretty good. And the other thing I do on Saturday is go to the library, to get some DVDs, CDs, and books, including this week's entry in the Deep Hurting Project, The Apparition, a ghost movie that somehow manages to have more plot in its trailer than in the actual 82-minute film itself. At one point, after I got this week's DVDs, there was an old man who wanted to get some movies, specifically Gunga Din, On the Waterfront, and Erin Brockovich. I remember this because I found the first and last ones and handed them to the old man myself. I'm not sure how much of it was altruism (and being shocked that the guy at the desk was looking for Erin Brockovich in the Action/Adventure section), and how much of it was because I wanted him to find those two Beach House albums that were supposed to be on the shelves, but weren't actually there.
