What's everyone up to right now?

Tried to write an Anglotopia column last night. Key word being tried. You see, we use Wordpress and the host forced an update to the new version, with the Gutenberg editor. What happened on my end? I tried to write a piece on a graphic novel version of The Who's Lifehouse rock opera that will be released next year, but some strange things happened. When I tried to link to a previous article where I talked about another Pete Townshend literary project, it just clicked and turned the section into a hyperlink, http://with no actual link attached to it. And it wouldn't undo it, no matter how hard I tried. Then, when I tried to submit it, the submit button did nothing. And the little word count thing at the bottom of the page said zero. I tried to do it again on my iPad and it was the same. I asked the boss about it and he managed to fix it.

Well, I misplaced my charger and cord, but I found out I put it it in a different part of my bag than usual. Good thing too, since now I can share with you my reaction to reading a Cracked article and finding out the creator of three of my favorite sitcoms is spending his days being a bigot on Twitter:

Old age is softening you...

Drying out my camping gear. Just got back from a few days in Anglesey, I intended to do lots of walking along the coast. It pissed it down on me for the duration, I spent most of the time in the pub.
Got home to find someone has nicked my lawnmower. Wonderful.

Getting showered, dressed, and ready to go to the gym. I really didn't want to leave the shower. I was greatly enjoying basking in the intense warmth of it. I think I'd like to spend a little time in the sauna after the gym class today, but I have to hurry home directly afterward to meet with my nurse. Maybe this weekend. They're giving away some kind of prize if you go to the gym 16 times in April. I ordinarily go three times a week, leaving me one visit a week short of Canasta, so I may go hang out in the pool this weekend.

Having breakfast before our marathon property tour. It seems pretty likely we'll be making an offer today. #1 candidate is only about a mile as the crow flies from our old place but it's on the other side of the freeway and in a much better neighborhood.

Looked at 7 houses, around 20 total since we found a buyer last Friday. We are making an offer on the 3rd one we looked at today and if we don't get it, the 1st and 6th also suit our needs. 1750 sqft 3 br 2 ba recently remodeled ten year old ranch at the end of a dead end street with a good sized yard.

Two weeks ago , I bought a copy of Le Morte d’Arthur, the Modern Library edition with the 1485 Caxton text. And by God, it’s difficult to read. Here’s a sample sentence:

Yes, I know the English language of 1485 is very different from the English of 2019, but, seriously, I once read a novel-length Naruto fanfic with more sex scenes than sentences without a spelling error and somehow I had an easier time telling what was going on there, and bear in mind, the protagonist of that story described himself as being six inches tall with a dick that was anywhere between two to 45 feet in length and biceps 28 feet in circumference, and this is the story of one of the most famous lores in the Western mythology.
