Got a much friendlier bid for my sewer repair, $3100 less than the lowest so far. The higher one uses the 'pipe burst' method to extrude a new pipe in the existing channel. The lower one is excavate and replace only the bad part of the line. The buyers have agreed to the former but the buyer's agent can't be reached until tomorrow to discuss the latter. I think they'll accept it.

I'm going to replace the electrical panel regardless. If I had known of the danger I would have done it already.

All that's left is to get the bid for the work that my handydude is bidding and I'll have a palatable reply, I think - and we will be back in the game to buy the house we want. Tonight's the deadline for that bid.

I'm hoping to have that reply signed by the buyer by tomorrow 9pm. Then our offer will be accepted on the new place and we do it all again on the other side.

Gotta get ready for a wedding rehearsal for this afternoon. My sister's getting married tomorrow. Her daughter will be staying with us while they're on their honeymoon, but thankfully it's spring break so it should be fun!

Having a spot of tea before heading back to bed. I lay down rather early, due to alcohol induced drowsiness, and woke at 11, made pizza, and am just now realizing how late it has gotten.

I haven't been sleeping much the last week. Stress.

My late father's house was turned over to the buyers two days ago. We can file to end probate in a few weeks, but the courts move slowly.

I signed the inspection addendum on my home sale last night - I'm reasonably certain the buyers will accept it. Once they do, we've been assured that we'll have an agreement to purchase our new home signed and we can proceed.

Meanwhile, we've lived in the hobo wagon for over four weeks now. I'm ready to be back in a house. It appears to be 21-30 days from the day our buyers accept the addendum, which hopefully will be today, Monday at the latest.
