Debating whether I'm still feeling up to cooking sauteed cabbage later this evening. I suppose I shouldn't anticipate how I will feel when that time arrives, but right now I don't feel so good.

Shortly after 11, the power went out in the house. Apparently, Dad didn’t find any evidence of other houses losing power, and it turned out that he had not paid the bill in several months. Usually, he’s pretty diligent about that sort of thing (this is the first time such a thing has happened in my life), but apparently, the bills had gotten waylaid and somehow, he had not gotten any bills from ComEd since November. He got on the phone with them and paid the $600 over the phone and even got them to start generating power for us in a few minutes.
