Spent a good-sized portion of this afternoon looking for my watch. I cleaned my room a bit last night, and, as a result, I lost my watch. I had to take my bed apart (spring and all) and put it back together before I found it. This led to a big conversation about room cleaning and this led me to having anxiety trouble leading me to have difficulty breathing for most of the afternoon.

On another note, Dad sent the Vaux back to Minstrel to see what they can do about the tone stack. And he also created a speaker grille to put under the cloth.

The finish line is in sight. I'm wiring funds early and we're signing docs at 8am. It's looking good for getting recorded and funded same day so we should get keys sometime tomorrow or the weekend at the latest, at my agent's first availability. He wants closure on this shitshow almost as bad as we do, so he will not keep us waiting.

I'm drinking tequila and watching baseball. I donated plasma today and wore the in-ear bluetooth headphones I bought in April for the first time. They rock. Great sound, great battery life, bluetooth features.

My memory upgrade for my computer arrived and my bike locks are in-house, so once installed, I can actually start using my new bike.

Been a pretty good day. I should be going to bed, but fuck it. Play ball!

Back from the gym. I snagged a free carton of eggs on Wednesday, so I'm thinking Huevos Rancheros. But first I need a few ingredients. So I stop at Aldi's and Target on the way home to pick up the needed stuff. I'll tell you what happens next, but first I need to tell you the back story.

On Monday, I went shopping for a few ingredients that I needed in order to make chili that day. Afterward, I posted some detail of my previous days' excursions on slack. To wit:
"I had two bags of plain potato chips and two bags of salt & vinegar potato chips on hand. I was at Walmart last night, and they had the Walmart version of salt & vinegar Pringles for a buck. I am nonplussed about the Pringles version, but the Lay's version which I like costs more. So I pick up a can, and a can of BBQ flavor to try as well. This morning while I'm on my way to Cub Foods because I need to visit the in-store bank, I remembered that Cub has their store brand potato chips on sale for $1.50 a bag, or $0.50 off. So I pick up three bags of assorted flavors. Later, Haruko and I are picking up ingredients to cook turkey chili with, and so I divert us to the potato chip aisle. Gawdzilla Sama has recommended dill flavored potato chips, and I had somehow missed them earlier, and so I pick up two bags. I notice they also have store brand tortilla chips at the same price, and I've really been hitting the salsa lately, if you know what I mean, so I pick up two bags of those. I'm guessing the words "low" and "sodium" together aren't in my immediate future."

So that was that day. As noted, I was at Target earlier today picking up a few grocery items. I go down the chip aisle, and a sign catches my eye. They've got Target brand chips, buy one, get one 50% off. Now that's a great deal, but it doesn't stop there. Their tortilla chips are on sale, normally $1.99, this week only $1.59. I wasn't sure the BOGO deal would apply, given that they were on sale, so I grab two bags anyway, figuring either way, I'll get a good deal. So I go and do the self-checkout, and damn if I don't get both the sale price AND the 50% off the second bag! That's an average of $1.20 a bag! So I quick finish checking out and run back and get two more bags. And I'm still tempted to buy more, as the sell-by date is late September. I can eat a lot of chips and salsa in three months.

So now I've got seven bags of potato chips, two cans of store brand Pringles, and seven bags of tortilla chips. I think there's definitely some snacking in my future!
