Okay, I just found out that despite the critical drubbing that Rambo: Last Blood got, it still got an 82% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, so, as objectively shoddy as it appears to be, it’s officially out of the running for the Deep Hurting Project. Fortunately, however, there is another shitty Stallone sequel that actually earned a place in the Project, so, if all goes well this Saturday, we can expect to see me suffer through Escape Plan 2: Hades. Of course, this week, I’m still watching Star Paws.

Guess what FINALLY came in the mail today after two months, 5 days, 14 hours and 13 minutes of waiting?
After all this time worrying and wondering that it might not work properly with my guitar or that, worse, it might never come and Lumpy shut down shop without shutting down his website, it plays like a dream. Here’s the pedalboard as it stands now:
And because I forgot what it was, it’s a drive pedal that’s supposed to sound like a Vox 7 Series, the amp used by the Beatles in their Revolver and Sgt. Pepper eras, and it cost $99, which is pretty bloody cheap for a boutique pedal. The one big drawback is that Lumpy, the owner of Electric Majik, is not the most reliable pedal-maker. He has been known to not deliver orders at all and we placed the order knowing it was a gamble whether or not he’d do it, and to wait only 2 months for it is honestly fairly good by his standards. Dad said this probably might not be a business to patronize repeatedly, but his other pedals are A) significantly more sxpensive, and B) largely cover the same ground as this pedal, but with different amp makes to model, like Hiwatt or Marshall, with a Colorsound Overdriver clone and a “Germanium Preamp” to round things out. So, this might be for the best.

Think I might go to the doctor. My ribs seem to be hurting more instead of less.

Went to the AGM for work today.
I see it like this.
We're a $10 million/year charity.
So each year they have this meeting where all the sponsors show up and are showered with praise for their contribution and there's also a big promotion of the business.
Some awards get handed out, talking, clapping, talking, clapping, I'd rather be digging trenches it's so fucking boring!
But anyway, we are the paid audience, we're the clappers.
And everybody gets dressed up so they can mix with the big wigs and hopefully climb the ladder.
I'm happy where I am so I came dressed as a homeless person, almost.
It's not my scene but they are good people and this seems to be the way shit gets done.
Also, saw a car accident this morning, right in front of me on a roundabout.
Two women, fuming with anger and blame.
Me and this other feller pulled over and helped push one car off the road.
When we got it on the curb, these two women started screaming at each other and I just hopped in my car and drove off.
I would have made a shit witness as I was sort of day dreaming and I don't really know what happened.

Well, I've decided that this week, I'm going to watch two films for the Deep Hurting Project this week to compensate for fucking up with Star Paws last week.
The first one: A Car's Life, which I plan to watch today, and, fortunately, it's really short (about 40 minutes) so I can watch it later tonight.
The second one: Escape Plan 2: Hades. I watched the original last week in preparation for this. And this one is apparently so bad that Stallone himself considered it the worst movie he's ever been in. That's including the porno and Stop or My Mom Will Shoot
Also, looking at Bojack Horseman Season 6, I'm pleasatly surprised that it looks like Diane's moving to Chicago. And they've even got a Portillo's parody.

Gonna leave tomorrow for a three night trip to Vegas. On Monday we're going to the Grand Canyon.

Ivan Milat, Australian serial killer and inspiration for the Movie Wolf Creek has died of cancer in prison.
In so many ways I wish there was a Hell for this piece of shit to end up in.
All I can hope is that his final days were painful and he was as scared as his victims would have been.

Nice! The wife and I spent 2 days at the Grand Canyon last week. South rim. Altogether, a cool place to see. Too bad I waited until I was 67 to do it! You're going at a good time. It has cooled off and the big summer crowds there for the 100th anniversary probably would have made it less enjoyable. When you get to Hermit's Nest, don't buy a tuna sandwich. It's more like bread with some tuna. BYOB, too, because they won't let you leave the lodge with any. They sell beer and wine, which has to be consumed inside.

We're going to the west rim this time, south rim is too far for a day trip for me from LV. Will definitely take note of that for the next trip.
