Spent three hours writing an article for Anglotopia about Ghostwatch, a 1992 mockumentary special about a haunting that convinced many viewers it was actually happening.

Go to go and pick up my car from the garage (new clutch.) £230 I could have done without spending this month. My bank account is shockingly shocking.

I feel your pain. We just spent NZ$1476 (£730 in real money) for a fuel pump.

Taking the tour bus from the Grand Canyon back to LV. Thinking about catching a show after dinner with my lovely wife.

Just read a tweet from Arnie about being evacuated from his home because of the wild fires in California. He made a comments about “getting out” when they’re told to.
Missed a perfect opportunity to post “get to da choppah!”

Can't be helped, luv. Even as long as I've been here, I still think in pounds and pence instead of dollars and cents.

Boru, as John Cadogan (auto expert) says: no-one's that bad that they deserve a Land Rover as punishment! lol
Having said that, I've got my eye on an Evoque. Fuck I love the look of them but the unreliability and maintenance costs for one which has done 50k is a big worry for me.
They become a money pit.

Where I used to work, one of the gals had a Land Rover. Every time she took it to the stealership, she got a laundry list of things that should be attended to. She found an independent shop, and they only did what it needed, with no ups and extras. Something to think about. I took one of my cars up to a shop for an alignment years ago (because I don't have the equipment for that) after I rebuilt the front end and was told that the car needed shock absorbers. I told the sales rep that the shocks were only a few months old. His response was "That's just the mechanic's recommendation".

Here in California, the Bureau of Automotive Repair estimates that 50% of auto repairs are unnecessary. I tried really hard to be an honest mechanic. It seems I could make a living by only doing necessary repairs. Go figure.
