Critter maintenance.

Cleaned one of the bird cages...off to tend to the litter box (ewwwww).  

All the furry and feathered have been fed.

Husband is cleaning the floors....years ago when I told him it would turn me on if he mopped the kitchen floor; he apparently believed me and has been trying to make it work for almost three decades.

Sitting vigil in the basement during this flood. There’s some small leakage at the closet wall (drops that have accumulated into a wet spot, seemingly stopped by putting a vase underneath the problem spot), and a small puddle in the laundry room around the stand pipe that I made into a medium-sized puddle when I tried to remove the standpipe and drain it, not knowing whether or not this would work. Fortunately, Alison and I were planning to Watch Castle in the Sky downstairs, so this works out well.

Well, the water levels subsided rather quickly. That puddle has been reduced to a wet spot with all the excess water gone down the drain. So, it looks like my basement isn’t going to flood.
