Just managed to watch a bit on ABC news last night to see what's happening in the world for the first time in a week. (sofa on back order - nowhere to sit)
There was a quick thing on Greece finally relaxing their laws. Churches now open but with stiff measures in place. Chairs 2 meters apart instead of pews, a lady there to wipe the saint thing behind the glass after every person kisses it. Sounds pretty safe and common sense. Then we get to the crunch. Drinking the holy wine thing was done with a communal spoon from person to person because .... because Jesus will protect us!

It's been forever since I've been on here...pre-pandemic, I'm guessing. I hope all of my friends here are doing well. And enemies, too.

Dropped Karma and Ziggy off at the vet clinic for dental cleanings...it's going to be an expensive day.
This is only the second time Quinn has been the only dog in the house and he thinks he needs to be as far up my butt as he can get. If I move he jumps up to follow me...apparently so that I don't leave him alone again. It would seem the 30 minutes he was alone was a traumatic experience. Husband suggested giving him a Lexapro.
The pack is back home. Karm's surgery was this morning and she seems to be doing great. Zig's was just a couple hours ago and he's quite obviously drunk. He keeps blinking. I guess he doesn't know the trick of closing one eye to reduce drunken double vision.

Took a nap today. It was better than anticipated. I'm not a fan of naps, they always leave me feeling strange when I wake up. And the dreams. They're quite chaotic. But, this nap was a good one. I should thank my neighbor for her wind chimes that I heard in the distance, that lulled me to sleep.
Now, it's time to make something for dinner, although I'm not feeling hungry. Has anyone's appetite dissipated since Covid started? |
