Sad for employees but truthfully, who knew they even had retail stores?
I thought their new EDGE browser was by far the most popular browser used to download Linux!

There's a pic out there where Edge is asking its purpose in life, and the response is to download FireFox. In the same vein.

I've spent much of yesterday and today binging the content on this YouTube Channel. It's called JCS - Criminal Psychology (also known as Jim Can't Swim after a very early and long-deleted video on their channel from before they found their niche) and it's focused on true crime, specifically long videos analysing recordings of police interrogations, often just letting the tape run with occasional pauses for the narrator to break down the interrogator's technique and the perp's reaction. Watching someone just go from confident in their innocence to all but certainly guilty in what is often close to real time can be fascinating, especially how slowly they can titrate the information they want to know just so the perp doesn't figure out what's going on and decide to demand a lawyer. In one case, we see the attempt to try it with a seasoned cop who just happened to be responsible for a cold case that was almost a quarter century old. She went from zero to Miranda rights in about 70 minutes.
And sometimes, they talk about interviews with people accused of criminal behaviour, like this video of Jussie Smollett (unique for actually including pictures of the crew in the credits):
Unfortunately, they're kind of notorious for removing videos from their channel and putting them under a Patreon paywall. Sometimes, they're simply unlisted, sometimes, they're privated, sometimes, they just vanish into the æther altogether. Some of these videos can be found for free, but it can be difficult to do so. I managed to find their video on the interrogation of George Wesley Hughley V on Bitchute, but I'm actually starting to seriously consider signing up for their Patreon, even if it's just so I can watch that video without having to risk an autoplay of some alt-righter complaining about how Jews supposedly control the media (yes, this actually happened when I played it yesterday; in mid-fucking-video, no less.) Complete list of (known) episodes hyeah.

I just finally finished a report I was supposed to do weeks ago.
It's been hounding my dreams so what a relief.
And then I just rang a colleague who had also run past the deadline and he's still not finished and that made me feel even better. :-)

Did you do OK in school, as a youth? The reason I ask is because if there is anything the education system is supposed to teach you, it is producing results on a topic you don't like, with a deadline that must be met.

So, between now and Friday, I'm planning, packing and generally getting ready for a trip to Arizona. As much as it might seem weird to travel with the coronavirus going nuts, there's an excellent clinic based in Scottsdale that specializes in transgender surgery and that's where I'm going. I've been wanting this for such a long time and I've been working my ass off (literally) to make it happen.
I'm leaving Friday morning and surgery is on July 7th. Wish me luck.

^ Good luck with everything!
Does leaving home there feel like leaving the safety of the fort in Walking Dead sometimes?

Managed to schedule a PFT, and also a COVID test. At the time, I did not know how deep they stick the tube in. Any ideas to help me prepare?

Less like that, especially since I feel fairly safe when I'm just walking around the neighborhood or somewhere else outside (exercise/burning energy). But when I have to go into a store or a business or something, especially one that's open to the public, I feel like I'm some kind of James Bond type spy, infiltrating enemy territory, surrounded by people who want to kill me. Especially when none of the people are wearing masks.
Went grocery shopping yesterday and lots of people there were wearing masks, so that was a pleasant surprise. The notable exception was the guy in a MAGA hat. I so wanted to punch him in the face (and it wasn't just his lack of mask).
